TangoTrade at the B2B Payments Executive Forum

I’ve been a consumer (and fan) of PYMNTS.com and their daily newsletter for years, particularly their B2B industry coverage.  They’re smart, they know the payments space, and they provide really insightful coverage of the latest trends and developments.  They also conduct some of the most important industry forums and conferences each year.

I’m quite excited (and honored!) to be participating on a panel discussion in this year’s B2B Payments Executive Forum, to be held on October 4 at Chelsea Piers in New York City.  This event is a closed-door executive level summit, that brings together a diverse group of B2B payments innovators to discuss and debate the challenges and opportunities facing the multi-trillion dollar payments industry.

The organizers have done a great job this year at bringing together a wide range of panelists, from established companies like MasterCard, GE, and First Data, as well as up and coming fintech players like Veem, Recurly, Payoneer and Flywire.  With this mix of traditional players looking to protect their turf, and startups looking to eat their lunch, I expect the panel discussions to be spirited and engaging.

My panel, titled “Blurred Lines – Fintechs and FIs”, combines several startup CEOs with execs from large public payments companies.  The discussion will focus on how fintech companies are both creating opportunities for banking institutions, as well as threatening many of the traditional bank sources of revenue.

The event is sold out, so unless you already have a ticket, unfortunately you’re out of luck if you’d like to attend.  I will be sure to provide a blog update following the event to give you some insight into the hot topics that were debated and how the discussions played out.  Should be a fascinating event!
